Barcelona travel to Bilbao without Messi

Lionel Messi has been left out of Barcelona's squad for their LaLiga Santander opener against Athletic Club on Friday night, but Philippe Coutinho and Rafinha have been listed.

The Argentine didn't train on Thursday as he continues to recover from an injury, nor will he travel to Bilbao with the squad.
Arthur Melo, Arturo Vidal, Jean-Clair Todibo and Moussa Wague are also missing, though Carles Perez will be included.

The full squad is as follows: Marc-Andre Her Stegen, Nelson Semedo, Gerard Pique, Ivan Rakitic, Sergio Busquets, Coutinho, Luis Suarez, Ousmane Dembele, Rafinha, Clement Lenglet, Antoine Griezmann, Jordi Alba, Carles Alena, Sergi Roberto, Frenkie de Jong, Samuel Umtiti, Junior Firpo, Inaki Pena and Perez.
