5 Students Gang-Rape 15-Year-Old Girl Inside Campus In Lagos

A 15-year old girl (name withheld) has been debased and traumatized after she was gang raped by five students inside school campus in Lagos.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Federal College of Education, Akoka, Lagos, on 28th July, 2019.
Two of the students, namely Emmanuel Ezegbue, 24 and Kolawole Oluwabanwo, 23, have been arrested in connection with the dastardly act.
The Police did not however, state if the victim was a student of the institution but stated that the suspects and others now at large conspired and lured the victim to where they engaged her in marathon sex romp one after the other before they allowed her to go.
The victim later told her parents what happened to her and the matter was reported to the Police. The Police trailed the two suspects and eventually arrested them while the three others were said to be at large.
After interrogation, the Police found them culpable and they were charged before the Ogba Magistrates Court for the alleged offence.
The Court did not take their plea after the prosecutor, Christopher John, asked the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for advice.
Thus, the Presiding Magistrate, Mr. P.E. Nwaka, ordered their remand in prison custody without the option of bail and also directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send to the DPP for advice.
The defendants may be transferred to the High Court for rape if the DPP finds them culpable and recommends that they should be tried for the alleged offence.
If they are tried and found guilty, they may spend several years in prison custody for the alleged offence.
